The GPS to Guide McCumbee to Las Vegas
Chad McCumbee will have no problems getting to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway this weekend as the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series entry will be guided by The GPS and Garmin to the mile and a half Speedway overlooking the famous Las Vegas Strip.

Las Vegas will be the third time this season that The GPS and Garmin have backed the twenty-four year old from Supply, NC. McCumbee had two great runs earlier this season when the companies joined the SS Green Light Racing team, finishing third at California and eighth in a rain-delayed affair at Kansas.

The SS Green Light team has a long relationship with The dating back to the 2006 season. “Chad and the team have done a great job for Garmin and over the last few years. We are very excited about this opportunity,” The GPS owner Drew Reger explained. “We are extremely pleased to work with Chad and SS Green Light Racing again this year and are hoping that lady luck shines on the 07 team in Las Vegas.”

In his last two starts at Las Vegas, Chad has brought home tenth and eleventh place finishes. “I really feel we have a great truck to bring out west. We’ve shown all year long that we can compete on these speedways, now we just need a little bit of that Las Vegas luck to keep us up front.”

In the team’s last start on a mile-and a half speedway at Chicago, McCumbee nearly won the pole and finished with a strong seventh place effort. “I think this will be a great race for us,” he said. “We have been so good at the speedways all year and I really feel we have a chance to get-up front and contend for a win this week for The ”

“I can’t than Drew and the employees of The and Garmin enough for coming onboard with us again this week,” McCumbee said. “Drew has been a great supporter for a long time and I look forward to representing them again this weekend at Las Vegas.”

• Chad will join other NCWTS drivers for a special autograph session on Friday, Sept. 25, from 7-8 p.m. at the Stratosphere Hotel & Casino.

Chad’s thoughts on the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and the Las Vegas 350K: “I’m really looking forward to getting behind the wheel of this truck again. We were so good the last time we ran it at Chicago. The tracks are similar, the banking is a little different in Vegas than Chicago, but that might help with passing. I feel that we have the potential to run in the top-five all night and with a little of that Las Vegas luck we’ll have the opportunity to get the No.07 The GPS to the front and contend for the win.”
